My
love of photography started back in high school when I signed up
to write in our Journalism class. They needed a photographer
and when no one volunteered for the position, I was assigned as
the photographer for our school paper and yearbook. I was
highly qualified at the time, I knew which end to look
through! After a few years of photography, I was eventually
offered a photojournalism photography scholarship.
Later
in years I did some brief work with a national photography chain
and occasionally doing some child portraits on the side. But
mostly my photography was to please myself.
After
relocating from California to the Pacific Northwest I found a
wealth of photographic opportunities in our beautiful
landscape. After sharing my photos with family and friends my
love of photography became well known in the family.
So
when my niece announced she was getting married, she requested
that I photograph her wedding. I reluctantly agreed and
discovered that I loved the challenge of capturing all the
spontaneous happenings in such a happy yet fast paced
environment.
